Candice's (a mom who was hospitalized with COVID) young children are being taken care of by another family. Prayers for strength as she is released from the hospital that she will have energy to take care of the kids. FCC care portal team provided gift cards for house supplies and needs for the kids and helped the family pay their water bill, which was in danger of being cut off when she couldn’t work due to hospitalization.

Please pray for April, she is a grandmother who lives in Roanoke and is taking care of her preemie granddaughter who just got out of the hospital and was born weighing 1 lb. April has stage 4 breast cancer and she is worried about her daughter, who has addiction issues, and what will happen to the baby if her cancer gets worse. She asked for prayer for her daughter to be able to get her life together and take care of the baby. I met her today with CarePortal, FCC donated the special formula that the baby needs (it's very expensive and her supply was affected by the recall). She was so sweet and my heart was hurting for her. She is not from Roanoke and doesn't have much support. She is also wanting to start attending a church when the baby is medically able to be around others.
